Big Wednesday: Broadway floor duty, open houses

Wednesdays are usually one of the busiest days of the week for me, with the Sotheby’s in Jackson Hole weekly sales meeting kicking things off at 8:30 a.m. From there it’s usually off to that week’s Realtor open houses for property previews before getting back to the office after lunch.

This morning, however, I’ll be in the main office at 185 W. Broadway until about noon covering the floor desk. Please feel free to stop by. Then, if there is still time, it’s off to Melody Ranch to see a new and a not-so-new listing, Rafter J to see a townhome and Indian Trails for a new listing

I’ll be back later this week with the December sales numbers (as reported in this morning’s sales meeting), a fresh neighborhood analysis and whatever else comes up in the Jackson Hole real estate market.

With the First Interstate Bank thermometer telling me it is minus-14 degrees here in Jackson Hole this morning, I am more than happy to be covering the floor desk at Sotheby’s International Realty until 1 p.m.

I’m here to help walk-in and call-in customers with anything real estate related, but usually spend most the time researching different segments of the market for clients. Today, not surprisingly, I will be looking at Teton Village condos with a price point between $750,000 and $1 million. I will also dive into SOLD data for single-family homes in Cottonwood Park and Rafter J.

I’ll pass along the info gleaned in a future post, but feel free to contact me sooner if you have in interest in these market segments, or to do a more specific analysis or search.

Not a bad day to be in downtown Jackson at the main Sotheby’s office. It looks like the snow is coming but there is no new snow today with low gray clouds. Most of the lifts are now open at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee, but overage is sparse with several trails still closed.

I’ll be watching the NFL, doing some online shopping and reviewing the latest local and national real estate-related news. Stop by until 5 p.m.

I’ll be at the main Sotheby’s in Jackson Hole office this afternoon between 1 and 5 p.m. Please stop in 185 W. Broadway with your real estate-related questions, or just to say hi, as you run around town.

Even if you are not ready to buy or sell in the immediate future, I can provide you with a great deal of information about Teton County, Wyoming (did you know how amazing this state is when it comes to tax advantages?) and the short and long-term real estate trends. Just tell me what information you are on the lookout for and I’ll make sure it gets to you as soon as it becomes available.

At the very least I can make sure you have a complete set of Jackson Hole area and neighborhood maps so you can quickly locate any property. Then, when it is time to look more closely at buying and selling real estate in Teton County, you will already have a strong fundamental understanding of the landscape.

I’ll be on floor duty at the Sotheby’s International Realty in Jackson Hole Broadway office until 1 p.m. today.  Located just two blocks west of Town Square, the main office is one of three Teton County locations staffed seven days a week with a licensed agent available for walk-in customers.
